Local 941-951-5572
The 100-acre park is surrounded by four different bodies of water: the Gulf of Mexico, Sarasota Bay, Big Pass and Brushy Bayou. A great place to grill out and chill out. Horseshoes, playground, canoe launch, nature trail and observation tower. South Lido Beach is a county-owned park. Ample parking (much of it in the shade of Australian pines), many picnic sites with built-in grills, volleyball net, playground and changing rooms. More than 1,000 feet of beachfront curves around Big Pass, with a great view of Siesta Key. South Lido is a popular spot for boaters and for family outings.

Directions

Go south on U.S. 41 from Fruitville Rd. Take the first right (west) at Gulfstream Avenue and cross the John Ringling Causeway. Follow signs from St. Armands Circle to Lido; park and beach are at the southern tip.
