Bat Tower

Richter Perky, a 1929 entrepreneur, wished to establish a fishing camp in Sugarloaf Key. He erected the Bat Tower as part of a plan to thwart pesky mosquitoes on his property. Unfortunately, Mr. Perkey passed away before he could carry out his innovative strategy.
